Sublimation Heat Press Operator – Freelance

We work with small brands dedicated to making their clothing in the US! With this growing market, JLD-Studios is in need of Heat Press Operator with the experience and know how to Get Shit Done!

Willing to work around your schedule; days, nights, or weekends. Position starts at 8-12 hours per week. This is a freelance position. Rate based on experience and availability.

– Run sublimation jobs on rotary heat press
– Monitor print quality
– Communicate needs and errors with production team
– Track fabric usage and inventory yardage
– Maintain heat press
– Maintain a safe and clean work environment
– Capable of lifting 50lbs repeatedly throughout day

Textile Design Intern

Have the opportunity to learn about production oriented textile design and the process of developing prints from concept to technical details. Also develop Illustrator and Photoshop skills specifically for textile design in the apparel, accessory and homegoods markets. This wide range of products allows interns to learn more about the different fashion markets.

Production Assistant – INTERN

Fashion InternOpportunity to learn more about apparel small batch manufacturing operations in a real world, fast paced environment.

This position works with the head of production throughout the sampling and production for small and emerging brands Positions are hands-on. Must be ready to hit the ground running!


– Assist head of production with organizing materials
– Learning the process of pre-production planning
– Place cord, spools of thread or other materials on spindles, insert bobbins, thread ends through machine guides and thread needles as necessary.
– Select supplies such as fasteners and thread to meet job requirements.
– Check garments and examine repair tags and markings on garments to locate defects or damage. Mark and repair mistakes as necessary. Trim threads as necessary.
– Observe machine operations and identify problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread or machine malfunctions and report such defects to supervisors. – As Needed
– Work with supervisor towards meeting performance standards.
– Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Internships last for three months, 10 hours each week, and are hands on.  We won’t ask you to go get coffee, though with 2 espresso machines in the office, you can easily stay caffeinated!  Designers use Adobe Suite and Marketing Interns will mostly use various online social media/marketing platforms. While the internships are unpaid, we will work with you to attain school credit and provide a true industry learning environment.
