The design houses Suno and Uniqlo have combined to make all of our printed, cool kid summer fashion dreams come true. The theme for this collection is Japanese Americana, the classic stripes combined with Asian influenced florals makes that theme come to life. This collaboration makes the coveted designs by this year’s CFDA Award nominated team Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty, who make up Suno, affordable, which is every fashionista’s dream come true.
The collection that has come together from the two design teams is completely wearable, chic and encompasses everything we love about summer separates. Every piece could easily transform from day to night with a few key accessory alterations. The dresses aren’t quite maxi or mini which make them totally current, you could easily throw one on for brunch with sandals or for a night out with fabulous heels and sparkling accessories.

The striped pieces are so American laid back that we want to pair them with something glitzy and glamorous to punch up the nighttime factor.

Any of the separates could be worn together to tackle the print mixing trend or they could stand on their own to be a statement piece.

Suno and Uniqlo’s Japanese Americana collection is a great example of two design houses coming together to create a unified collection that captures the essence of both brands. It’s no wonder that everyone is buzzing about it. The best thing about this collaboration is that it’s released just in time for the weather to start warming up, May 20, and none of the pieces will set you back more than $40. A budget friendly, fashion forward collaboration is just what we’re looking for to spruce up our wardrobes this season.
