Title: Fabric Laser Cutter
(Clothing Production, Heat Press Operator, QA)

What we need you to do:

  • Material Management – receiving, inventory, stocking, replenishment
  • Operate Laser Cutter by inputting of measurements, cut and count
  • Operate Sublimation Heat Press ensuring fabric is placed properly and printed accordingly
  • Prepare all production materials for sewing process – lay out, stacking and cataloging
  • Review finished garments for Quality Assurance (QA) – monitoring work ensuring fabric and print quality and that products are completed on time
  • Maintain files of designs, artwork and work orders for future use
  • Troubleshoot, communicate and resolve issues with little down time
  • Conduct routine preventive and upkeep maintenance on the equipment (including but not limited to cleaning, organizing and safe
  • Handle frequent change, delays, or unexpected events

What you need to know: (Getting Sh!t Done)

  • Understanding or interest of print / cut processes and procedures
  • Basic computer skills – PC or MAC a must
    • Knowledge of Microsoft, Fiery (rip software), File Maker or Adobe Creative Suite – but will train
  • Able to read and interpret written information – read and write in English
  • Must consistently be at work and on time for each scheduled shift
    • Studio hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4pm (Part and Full-time opportunities available)
  • Able to
    • Stand for 8-hour shift
    • Lift 25-40 lb materials throughout the day
    • While performing the duties of this role you must be able to
      climb, balance, stoop, kneel and/or crouch

Sewing Machine Operator – Industrial Seamstress
(Production Sewing / Industrial Sewing Machine Operator)

Location: Portland, Oregon
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time

What you’ll do:

  • Operate industrial sewing machines (serger, single needle)
  • Create (assemble) garments following samples and technical package
  • Ensure quality construction with minimal errors and make repairs when necessary
  • Meet daily and weekly productivity goals (according to need and demand)
  • Observe machine operation to identify and correct faulty stitches, or notify supervisor for needed changes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment – perform equipment maintenance tasks such as replacing needles, cleaning sewing machines, oiling, troubleshooting

What you need to know: (Getting Sh!t Done)

  • 3+ years of sewing, seamstress, product creation experience
  • Operation of industrial (commercial) sewing machines; preferably Serger and Coverstitch
  • Knowledgeable in sewing methods and completing jobs to quality specifications
  • Handling Knit Materials / Finishing Hems / Attaching Elastic and related accoutrements
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, organize with good hand-eye coordination

Able to:

  • Read and interpret written information – read and write in English
  • Consistently be at work and on time for each scheduled shift
    • Studio hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4pm (Part and Full-time opportunities available)
    • Sit and /or stand for an 8-hour shift
    • While performing the duties of this role you must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel and/or crouch as well as frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping, reaching, pulling, and pushing
  • Handle basic computer skills – PC or MAC – familiarity with work related online apps (android) and Excel
