Emilio Pucci was born in Naples, Italy on November 20th, 1914 to an illustrious Italian family. He graduated from the Università di Firenze in 1941 with a doctorate in political science, after having attended the UniversityRead More →

We often receive multiple inquiries, comments, and sometimes confusion on what exactly is a pattern. There are two terms that are generally used in the apparel manufacturing industry in regards to patterns. Garment patterns are used in the designing and production process to ensure that the fit of the garment is to the designer’s liking. While a tech pack is a blue print, the garment pattern is the cutting template.   Tip: “Keep in mind that when costs are involved in making aRead More →

Do you think the choice of Pantone color Greenery was a subtle nod to our hope that 2017 would be better than 2016?  After all, “The Grass is Always Greener.”  Despite where you feel we’re heading for this year, the color of the year is as cheery as Kermit. To embrace the shade our textile designers had a little fun with our print library. The cool shade of green is playing nicely with shades of aqua and navy blues.  We even through in some gray to further neutralize the color.  From ditsy florals to more laid back conversationals, greenery is accenting these prints very well.Read More →

Now that the print is finished, we thought we’d add a little more insight into how it was created, and show you the finished products.Read More →

Print inspiration can come from many different things- perhaps a pattern in nature, the architecture of a sky-scraper, a vintage scarf, or even your own take on a vintage print from Pinterest. Our print designer hand-drew this picture, using some of the details inspired by a vintage print she found online. It uses some of the same lines and shapes, but she also creates her own lines/shapes to make it her own and add pizzazz. The revival of vintage trends is nothing new in fashion, as trends are hardly ever new, just a reincarnation of something from the past. Of course, the design needs toRead More →
